Apply to Adopt

For all our animals we have a comprehensive adoption process.

  1. Pre-adoption application form: If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, we will ask you to fill out an application form that is comprehensive and detailed. This enables us to get to know you better, as well as understand your lifestyle and preferences. We use this information to match you with an animal looking for a home that fits your specific situation and needs. Successful adoptions are built on understanding both the pet and the potential owner, ensuring a loving and compatible environment for everyone involved. Dog Application form Cat Application form
  2. The home check: Once we have received your application, if you are looking to adopt a dog, we will arrange for one of the team to come and carry out a home check. This thorough evaluation helps to ensure the environment is not only suitable but also secure, providing peace of mind for both you and the animal as we consider your application. Our team will assess various aspects of your home, including safety measures, available space, and any potential hazards to create a nurturing environment for your new companion. If you are adopting a cat, we will assess your home’s suitability remotely.
  3. If your perfect companion is a dog: all of our dogs seeking homes are cared for in loving foster homes, which allows us to assess their personality traits and get as much information as possible about their individual needs and preferences. We believe that this approach helps to match them with the right families. However, when dogs move to their new homes, we allow a settling-in period to ensure that both the dog and the new family are happy before we formalize the adoption process. This trial period lasts for 2 weeks, during which we encourage you to spend quality time together and adapt to each other’s routines. At the end of this period, you will be asked to formally adopt your new friend if you feel that the companionship is a perfect fit for your lifestyle and family dynamics.
  4. Adoption fees: You will be informed of the adoption fee at the time of meeting your pet. These vary as we see animals at all stages of life and with ongoing needs. All adoption fees include: neutering voucher, 1st vaccination, and microchip. You can expect the adoption fee to be similar to our standard and it will depend on various factors, including the age, breed, and health of the animal.
