Become part of our foster carer team
The success of our rehoming work relies completely on the support of our wonderful foster carers. We are always looking for foster space for both dogs and cats , the more places we have the more animals we can take in and the more souls we canfind caring homes for. Foster homes enable us to assess behaviour and this is fundemental to being able to place these animals in the right homes.
Applying to be a dog fosterer:
If you felt you could welcome a dog into your home temporarily we would love to hear from you. Maybe you already have dogs and feel another addition would be a great way to help or perhaps you don’t feel able to take on a permanent dog right now but have periods of time where you could offer a safe space to a friend. Please fill out our application to foster. Once we have recieved this our dog foster co-ordinator Emma Faulkner will come to your home and discuss what might suit you best.
All our foster dogs come with beds, toys, harnesses and food and all their medical needs are catered for by our team.

We charge adoption fees for our friends in order to offset some of the costs incurred in caring for them however as many of the animals that come to us have complex medical needs the adoption fees always fall short of the costs that are incurred for their care.

Biscuit and Pickles
We have 2 little dogs that are with us on permanent foster. They both came to us at different times but they both have specific needs:

Biscuit is an elderly pug cross and she came to us when her owner died and she found herself in a horrible dog hoarding situation. Elderly she required significant surgery on arrival but has numerous long term medical issues requiring ongoing medication. She is living out her days with one of our kind foster carers and we are supporting her care .

Pickles came to us from the pound and has obviously sustained a lot of trauma in here life. Clearly used for breeding and then thrown out when no longer useful Pickles is terrified of most things and most people. She went to stay with Biscuit and after weeks of gentle care her foster carer has managed to gain her trust. Pickles does not cope with change and can get very aggressive when she is scared. We have chosen to support her living with Biscuit as we feel it would not be the right thing for her to try and adjust to a new home.
