Saffron came to us from a terrible situation, the details of which we are unable to go into detail at this time. Emaciated and terrified below is a lovely poem written by her adopters who adore her and the feeling is clearly mutual.

Saffy’s Second Chance
Saffy, dear soul with eyes so wise,
Once knew only tears beneath grey skies.
A life that began with fear and pain,
Too much heartache, too much rain.
She longed for kindness, soft and true,
For gentle hands and mornings new.
Though the world had let her down,
She never lost her hopeful crown.
Then came Ina with love so bright,
And Andrew with a heart of light.
They saw beyond the scars she wore,
And opened wide their family door.
With every walk and every treat,
A wagging tail, a joy complete.
A cosy bed, a warm embrace,
At last she’d found her happy place.
The shadows faded day by day,
As love chased every fear away.
The timid pup began to see
What life was always meant to be.
Now Saffy runs with spirit free,
The dog she always dreamed she’d be.
Her story whispers, soft yet strong:
After darkness, hope belongs.
So here’s to hearts that choose to care,
To love that’s patient, always there.
For Ina and Andrew, kind and true,
The brightest chapter began with you
